Hoops 4 Health Challenge 2007 great success

Mundine's got game

He's The Man, no doubt about it.

Boxing champion Anthony Mundine led his All-Star team to victory in the 2nd annual Hoops 4 Health Challenge in Darwin last weekend.

The boxing and rugby league superstar scored an impressive 19 points against the Northern Territory Senior Men's team in the
104-80 win, earning him co-MVP honours.

Cairns Taipan Aaron Grabau scored 12 points in support, while former NBL All-Star Andre Moore scored 8 points.

Travis Ellis scored 24 points to lead the Northern Territory team.

The Hoops 4 Health initiative was established five years ago by the Wuchoperren Health Service in Cairns and is now administered by the Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council.

The program has been used in Darwin to spread a message about the prevention of Hepatitis C.

Attendees were treated to some fine Territory cuisine, including mud crabs, barramundi, snapper and turtle.
